Position Summary/ Primary Purpose  
Assembles and builds sub-assemblies, as well as engines, designed, manufactured, or serviced by Ilmor.  
Major Areas of Responsibility  
·          Assemble and build any type of engine designed, manufactured, or serviced by Ilmor following industry standard assembly techniques
·          Measure components to close tolerances
·          Set and verify part clearances
·          Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
·          Accurate use of measuring equipment and the required hand tools
·          Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes
·          Crack testing of parts using non-destructive methods
·          Engine build record keeping with component history data
·          Other duties may be assigned  
·          English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
·          Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
·          Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Education & Experience
·          High School diploma or equivalent
·          1 to 3 years of recent engine building experience in a low volume or custom application is preferred  
Demonstrated Physical Abilities/Work Environment Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
