NDS Motorsports and Andrew Ranger

Ilmor has teamed up with NDS Motorsports and driver Andrew Ranger, for three NASCAR Nationwide Series road course races, including Road America, WI (6/25), Watkins Glen, NY (8/14) and Montreal, Canada (8/20).

Although 2011 is the NDS Motorsports' debut in NASCAR Nationwide Series, they are no stranger to the track or the winner's podium.  The team has competed successfully in NASCAR K&N Pro Series, ARCA and Canadian Tire Series.  Located in Georgia, Vermont, NDS is owned by Bob Torriere and managed by Steve Hibbard.  NDS' NASCAR Nationwide Series custom-built Dodge Charger is #53, sponsored by Waste Management Recycling/Bollegraaf.  The car is equipped with an Ilmor-developed Dodge R5 engine, the same engine which led and completed the most laps in the 2010 ARCA series, and powered the 2010 ARCA Rookie-of-the-Year.

NDS's driver, Andrew Ranger, has already spent a lot of time on the podium.  From Formula A Karting champion, to youngest Champ Car podium finisher, to top Atlantic Series Rookie, he has proven to be a talented driver with a very promising career.  Ranger made his NASCAR Canadian Tire Series debut at Cayuga Motor Speedway in 2007, won his first race that June at Mosport International Raceway, and finished the 2007 season as the Series Champion.  He won his second Canadian Tire Series championship in 2009.  In 2010, Ranger went on to win several NASCAR Pro Series races, including Infineon Raceway in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, Lime Rock Park in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, and the Toronto Indy Jumpstart 100.  He was the first driver to win all three NASCAR regional touring series in one year.

This year, Ranger has already won his ARCA series debut race at New Jersey Motorsports Park, and looks toward victory lane at one of the NASCAR Nationwide Series road course events with the NDS Motorsports team this season.
